Buying Online from the Kids Central Online Toy Store

Kids Central and Early Learning Centre Australia (ELC) provides a secure online shopping experience.
This page provides a summary of what you need to do to buy online from our sites.

Firstly you need to browse the site and add items to your shopping basket.  ps...we are fucked

We require you to sign up using your email address so that we can track your order in the system and you receive notification about your order being processed.

The same login works on both our ELC & Kids Central sites in Australia.
The ELC toys range, price, delivery time and help contacts are the same for both the ELC and Kids Central stores & websites. All purchases will be able to be viewed from your account details login, you can use the same basket across all sites in the Kids Central family.

If you join as a member your address details are saved so you will not need to type them in again at your next purchase. All these details are password protected.

Should you choose to become a member you will also receive our monthly e-newsletter that gives you special offers, latest product information & other information about our products. We will also mail out new catalogues. Your details will not be forwarded to any other companies for marketing purposes, unless it was specifically stated at the time of sign-up. In this case we may share your details only with the company that was part of the promotion.

Otherwise you can check in anonymously we still need an email address for contact but we don't send you any other follow up besides what is necessary for your order.

There are 4 main steps in the checkout & payment process

From your shopping basket click CONTINUE CHECKOUT. This will take you to the next step.

Gift message - If you are sending this to someone else you can add a short message to be sent with your gift.

For items that have a different shipping address from the billing address we don't send the invoice with the gift. If it is a gift we won't send an invoice with the delivery - we'll keep it a suprise!

 2. Shipping Options
Add your details and also the shipping details if you are not receiving the goods.
If you are a member you can select from the saved address options. An email and phone contact is really important in case we need to confirm a delivery.

Remember we can only deliver items to addresses within Australia. International customers can order online and have the items sent to relatives and friends within Australia

Once all the address & shippings details are added click the button CONTINUE TO PAYMENT

3. Payment Info
This page asks you to confirm that you are paying by credit card. The TOTAL - including any delivery charge - will be the amount charged to your credit card. All charges are in Australian dollars.

This is a secure site we have a Digital SSL certificate issued by Comodo. In a nutshell this encrypts the data moving between our site and the banks credit card processing facility.

Credit card processing
Credit card processing is carried out by the ANZ bank E-Gate facility. We accept Mastercard &Visa.

Transactions can be processed on cards issued outside of Australia but all charges are in Australian dollars. To find out more about ANZ E-Gate click here. We don't hold your credit card details, that is why if you require a refund our Customer Service staff will have to contact you give you a charge back.

4. Order Confirmation
This page asks you to confirm the total charges, including the delivery charge that will be added to your credit card.

Once you are happy submit your details by clicking once the text - PLACE ORDER

It might take a few seconds to process. All credit card details are then handled by the bank, ELC toys & Kids Central does not hold any credit card details from online shoppers.

Your order can be stopped or altered by you at any point up until you have submitted your credit card details. Of course if there is a problem give our Direct Sales team a call as soon as possible and we can always refund your order.

5. Order Completed
A receipt is then emailed to you.
Note down the order number and customer id. that is on the screen, it will help with any enquiries.

Christmas Delivery Details

Cut-off date / Expected delivery date:

WA, SA, TAS, NT – Thursday 13th Dec / Sunday 16th
Non Metro QLD, NSW, VIC – Thursday 13th Dec / Sunday 16th
Metro Centres QLC, VIC, ACT – Sunday 16th Dec / Tuesday 18th.
Metro NSW - Tuesday 18th Dec / as is.

NZ - Thursday 13th Dec / as is.

Our current special offer is $9.95 delivery anywhere in Australia. This excludes Selwood and Plum products. We will endeavour to have your order dispatched with 2-3 working days.

Our normal standard delivery charge is $15 per order anywhere in Australia, some larger items (primarily cots, large doll houses or outdoor furniture) have a charge of between $25 or $75.
Additional charges on top of our standard charge is shown in the details page for each product.

Now and again large deliveries to remote locations may require a higher delivery fee - one of our Direct Sales staff will give you a call.

Deliveries are via Australia Post eparcel delivery.
Orders should be dispatched from our warehouse in Sydney within 3-5 working days of ordering. We can't dispatch Saturday, Sunday or public holidays. When your order is shipped, an email will be sent to you with your consignment number. You can track your shipment with your consignment number (as described below).

Allow 5 to 10 working days (it is a big country), however east coast metro deliveries will usually be faster than this. In the lead up to Christmas orders may take longer to Metro arrive as we prioritise areas that require longer postage times - but if your order before our recommended dates it will be delivered prior to Christmas, barring some sort of postal disaster.

Unfortunately we cannott give you a guaranteed date & delivery time. If there is no one home when Australia Post deliver and it is a large item they will usually leave a card in your mailbox with information about collection.

For Australia Post Eparcel deliveries, please go to http://www.auspost.com.au/track/. In the Domestic Tracking section, select Consignment number (eParcel only) , enter consignment number provided and select ‘go’.

For Allied Express couriers deliveries, please go to http://venus.alliedexpress.com.au/allied/alstart.html You will need to type in the consignment number and destination post code to track your order. 

If order has not arrived within this timeframe, please contact our Direct Sales staff on 1300 850 123 and they will find where it has gone.

All our items are well packaged & fragile items are bubble wrapped but if there is any damage on arrival please contact our Direct Sales staff ASAP. They will arrange a return & replacement.
