What does delivery cost?
We have a standard delivery charge of $15 for most orders, no matter how many products it includes or where it is going in Australia. Gift voucher only orders have no delivery charge.
The exceptions are some of our heavier items will have an extra charge added. You will see the extra charge in the detailed description of the product.
Also some products such as Treehouse furniture and other playground equipment will have higher delivery costs - most of these items are call to order so our Phone Sales team will give you a delivery quote and delivery time.
The total delivery charge is shown before you finish the checkout process.
Every now and then some large deliveries to remote areas may cost more. One of our Direct Sales staff will contact you and discuss the extra charge prior to dispatch. These are usually deliveries to areas that Australia Post Parcel will not deliver.
How do I return or exchange an online or phone purchase?
Even though we love our toys and think you will too, occassionally something will go wrong. Please first contact our Customer Support team on 1300 850 123 and they will help you with an exchange or return. Or view the returns procedure and policy here.
Can you not put the receipt in with a gift?
For all orders if the shipping address is not the same as the billing address we will not put a receipt in the box. In this case your receipt will be the one you received via email when placing the order.
You can add a message to be sent with the gift in the relevant section of the shopping basket. Sorry we don't do gift wrapping.
Can I use my gift card to pay for my online order?
Unfortunately gift cards and gift vouchers cannot be used online. They can be used to purchase goods over the phone on 1300 850 123 or from your local Early Learning Centre or Kids Central store.
We're sorry for any disappointment this may cause but we are constantly listening to feedback, and from this try to improve on the services we already offer our customers.

They are both run by the same people in Australia
In Australia & NZ we hold the distribution rights for ELC toys. We have a number of ELC toy only stores. Our Kids Central stores have our ELC toy offer plus we have a selection of baby & fashion goods.
Our Kids Central online store holds the complete range of ELC toys plus baby & fashion from some of our favourite brands.
You can use the same shopping basket at either www.kidscentral.com.au or www.elctoys.com.au
Franchise opportunities with ELC & Kids Central Australia?
All our stores are company owned and operated and we are not currently considering a franchise model for stores.
Do your toys contain PVC or Phthalates?
No we don't! There are regular reports of the concerns surrounding the use of Phthalates ( plasticisers which make rigid plastics softer ) in PVC toys, especially those toys designed to be mouthed or chewed by babies and children under the age of three.
At Early Learning Centre we've not used Phthalates in production of these toys since 1999, and have developed a range of soft, plastic toys using alternative plasticisers. With some of these toys, the plastic may not be as soft as it was previously, this is the result of using a safe alternative to phthalates which may not be as effective in softening the PVC.
As part of our design and development process, we continue to seek safe, effective alternatives where appropriate and above all ensure that customers can remain confident in our ability to offer safe, fun toys for children.
My Child suffers from allergies, and would like to know if any of your products contain nuts or gluten?
We don't hold a definitive list of what products contain nuts, gluten or other allergens. However, we've found out the following, which we hope will be helpful.
All our paints and crayons are non-toxic, and will not cause any harm to your little ones.
